It warms my heart & Bible
I wanted to thank everyone for all the support since my last post, things have been quite busy here so I haven’t had much free time. But it really makes me feel like I am winning seeing as there have been over 6000 comments since my last post.
I appreciate all the people that took the times to read and understand my beliefs behind this website. You all make it worth while. Just so you all know I do read all the comments, and those of you still yelling at me make me give praise to God that you continue to prove my points and show how wrong this all is. Thank you.

I think part of the problem that is going on here is that the bulk of you are ignorant as to the word of God. I don’t have these beliefs just because I made use of my God given rational mind, I have them because I’ve been brainwashed since I was a child. I understand that everyone didn’t have the chance to be taught these things, and learn about God as my family did so if I am going to have this kind of attention I should use it to help teach others about the words of God that helped to shape me into the woman I am today.
Everyone I am sure knows the passage that in the beginning God created heaven and earth. But I think not everyone knows that his creation was not as perfect as he thought.
In Genesis 6:6-7 there is more talk about God’s work. “The LORD was grieved that he had made man on the earth, and his heart was filled with pain. So the LORD said, “I will wipe mankind, whom I have created, from the face of the earth—men and animals, and creatures that move along the ground, and birds of the air—for I am grieved that I have made them”.
So it’s clear that Earth was made by God’s hand, and men were not made exactly on his image and likeness for they were not as perfect as he is. From this God moved to destroy all the creatures, notice there is never talk of creatures ‘evolving’ into other creatures. Instead God is able to create and wipe out all the creatures including man.
In Genesis 6:14 is said: “So make yourself an ark of cypress wood; make rooms in it and coat it with pitch inside and out. 15 This is how you are to build it: The ark is to be 450 feet long, 75 feet wide and 45 feet high.” and then in Genesis 6:19-21 is said: “You are to bring into the ark two of all living creatures, male and female, to keep them alive with you. Two of every kind of bird, of every kind of animal and of every kind of creature that moves along the ground will come to you to be kept alive. You are to take every kind of food that is to be eaten and store it away as food for you and for them.”
So, in an 1.5 million cubic feet ark, Noah introduced more than 1.3 million animal species and the neccesary food for feeding them during one hundred and fifty days. And I’m not going to use maths (evil scientific invention for Bible does not mention them) to explain it. It could be possible just because God wanted to.
People of science claim that the Earth is the way it is because of millions of years of time and erosion effecting it. But we are taught and believe that our world is this way and has the aged look because of the flood of Noah. It was the waters covering the Earth on such a grand scale that caused the aging that people of science claim as proof. They also buried the dinosaurs and the trilobites.
It’s these teachings that I’ve wasted my life learning, believing and becoming, that have made me the blind woman that I am today.

Hey…. Just letting you know. I think that this is great that you’re posting something here against the evoloutionary stuff that is taught through spore.
But I don’t think that this is the way to do it. I’m a christian too, and a video game developer. Seeing Spore, my first thought was Wow, look at what that can do. It’s an impressive game technologically and design wise.
I agree that it is a platform for promoting evoloution. But it relies on some assuptions held by the population, as well as some good misinformation.
Will wasn’t trying to do propaganda when he made this. He wanted to do this idea he had. Because he isn’t a believer, he did it based on a lie. As for the stuff users made - would you say that computers are evil simply because some people use it to make/watch porn? No. Of course not.

I was raised in church too. Later in life I also pursued my religion with a passion. I wanted to learn and understand more about ‘my God.’ I would never make the mistake of assuming that a dissenting view point must arise from a misunderstanding of my beliefs. People believe what they believe, because that’s what they want to believe. There is evidence of many things, but proof of very little. Evidence is subject to observation which makes it inherently flawed, regardless of the subject. There is nothing evil about Spore. Just like the theory of evolution isn’t evil, it’s a thought, a creative thought at that. It’s an observation based on evidence. Is there room for doubt, sure, but there’s room for doubt in everything. As for me, I don’t see the harm in it at all. If God wants to punish people for thinking, and making conclusions based on the input they’re given, then I suppose that would be God’s prerogative. This is one aspect of humans that is hard wired, and it won’t change unless we evolve beyond it. Creationists and evolutionists, respectively, accept what they believe on faith. Your faith is just stronger, because you have less proof to substantiate your beliefs, and it is a part of the human experience to seek higher meaning and purpose in the void. I might see a cloud, but you see the face of God, and we are both right.

Have you even begun to interperate the fact that Christianity itself is actually an offence to god? If he is infinite and you are not and have a limited capacity to worship then no matter how many people try or how many people you convert you will only ever insult him with such a puny attempt to impress him. Not to mention the fact that yes if God was infinite then he would have an infinite capacity to love and forgive but also an infinite capacity to resent, hate, jealousy, insultion and cruelty. Tell me, you believe in the bible just because the church, for the last 20 or so centuries brought it to the masses as the “word of god”? Then tell me how is different from Cinderella or a Stephen’s King book or Dianetics or whatever. It’s just a book written by man, with no scientific proof of holding any truth inside it.
I would compliment the church for their ability in centuries to control masses, earn tons of money and manipulate the world to their needs just with a fairy tale in a book. I wish I had those skills.

Well, I don’t know where to start. At first, I will assure you that I don’t have the intention to insult you, but I really think that you have some wrong ideas. I’m an atheist myself, but have been raised in a Christian manner. The discussion about why I abandonned God is irrelevant, but I have true reasons for that. Furthermore, I am a PhD-student, and thus a scientist.
But your whole view of science as anti-Christian propaganda is just inaccurate. In contrast to Christianity, science is not a set of believes, but a method which can be used to retrieve the truth in a systematic and as obtectively as possible way. So scientist simply observe that what is in the Bible is just not true. The Earth is not 6000 years old, but a couple of billions. Mankind is not created by God, but evolved even from something simple as a bacteria. The only thing that is necessary for this to happen is enough time and some organisms that can reproduce. The fact that we can explain that we live in a world which appears to be designed is the strength of the evolution theory.
Now on the other side, there are religious people who tend to disagree with this. But for what reasons? The only reason you have come up to is that you have been raised differently. So what you actually say is that you have been indoctrinated by your own parents and the rest of your environment. And this actually makes sense! This is how religion spreads. Children are vulnerable and it is evolutionarily logical that the believe their parents always, since that is the best way to survive. A result is that when people grow up they have heard these religious theories so often that they are accepting them for the truth.
You might ask how then is it possible that people have these beliefs anyway? Well this can be explained from the evolution theory. When people’s minds began to grow they came to realize what’s going on out there and to ask questions like what is the meaning of all this? Why are we here? Although that the truth is that there is no specific meaning, this can become quite disturbing for human beings and make them quite depressed. Therefore, throughout people have come up with literally thousands of possibilities to make our world more senseful. Only few of these have survived of which Christianity is just one. Basically, you believe in stories written thousands of years ago by people who did not have a clue about this world and hold these stories for the word of God.
I would like to conclude by paraphrasing Richard Dawkins: People do not believe in most of the Gods that have ever existed throughout human history, atheists only go one God further.
I am completely open for discussion so please feel free to respond to this. To be honest, I would appreciate you more as a person if you took on the challenge.

I have always wondered about most christians. You see, they always say “I will pray for you”, and I have always wondered why. I just do not see the point to be honest. This is the silliest site I’ve seen. SPORE is just a game, no one is making you purchase it. I didn’t read all the posts, but they’re all pretty much the same from what I gathered. Anti-evolution, it’s against religion and so on. You do realize though, that evolution has more proof to support it than creationism. There’s fossils (among other things) that show the evolution of different species through the millions of years. SPORE isn’t just about evolution, either. It involves other things like social interactions and in the Civilization stage you can even have a city focused on religion and converting the surrounding cities.
The banning of a game is truly a trite thing to worry about, especially a game like this. Let people believe what they want to, whether or not you agree with their beliefs.

When reading this keep in not that I myself am a christian, when most christians hear ‘evolution’ they think BAD, and while I myself disagree with genetic evolution this game only focuses on that aspect for a minimal part in the beggining of the game, then widens the view to a Social evolution stance. If you don’t know what this is let me break it down for you: evolution(the literal definition) means change of a long period of time, social evolution occurs everyday, social evolution occurs in the Bible! Which brings me to my second point Evolution can work both ways, a being getting better over time or smaller, Take for example that in the pre-flood old testament mans average life span was just over nine hundred years, then after the flood man began having a shorter life span, up until the Renassance at which time we switched to a healthier diet, and began a basic understanding of nutrition, Studies show today that man’s average lifespan is still decreasing but it is being hidden by numbers created through advanced medical techniques. So there you have it! By biblical definition biological evolution is not wrong, merely backwards, therefore Spore is not an evil machination by some ‘evil man’ in fact I would say Will Rights game is a way to show people the way to christ! And isn’t that what Christianity is about?

First of all, I’m a believer, like you, I agree that Spore is inserting evolution inside kids brains. That said, I also believe that biblical games are inserting word of bible inside kids brains (yes, I’ve played 2 bible games for NES(Nintendo Entertainment System)) and they were pretty decent for that time, different only little about Mario kindoff games, where they too had side scrolling screen and you can pick stuff from ground (Mario II). The story wasn’t really much different also, you had Princess being caught by Bowser, you were going to save him by walking through stages. You were at GOOD side and fought BAD side. Same thing with Bible adventures(I think that was the name of the game), you had couple evil man trying to kill baby moses and you tried to get him through stages. So again you were doing GOOD against EVIL.
Every game follows same logic from 2d to 3d games. There will always be GOOD against EVIL. Though the different between GOOD and EVIL may differ from POINT OF VIEW. Ever played Star Wars: Knights of the Old republic(I/II), there you had EVIL against yourself. You completed side missions to get you through events that led you escape that planet(that obviously exploded), you could have talked people nice, helped GOOD side to deal RIGHTEOUSNESS against disbelievers. BUT NOW THE ONLY DIFFERENCE FROM PREVIOUS GAMES; you had also choice to do the EVIL SIDE. Dealing pain and suffering to good people and stealing their vallets, gaining more power and strengthening in use of DARK FORCE. There was the first time the vision of GOOD and EVIL totally broke. There was no longer GOOD or EVIL, what does it matter, wether you kill GOOD or EVIL people to claim your goals? They’re all people even they had some differences in beliefs. Now you propably say “good people had faith” where bad people clearly were atheistic and immoral, when the end of game YOU REALIZE that you were WRONG side! And the BAD we’re trying to kill you in order to restore balance to universe and YOU were really the only EVIL in that world (Ok, maybe that didn’t go that way at all, but could have ended that way, you get the big picture).
Now were dealing with a game that really has no GOOD or BAD side. It’s all about survival, (like Starwars), where you only have this specie trying to escape from BAD MEAT EATING SITH GENES. But you have a choice of going Herbivore(PlantEater) or Carnivore(MeatEater). Now there’s nothing bad about that. What ever you going to do it is still SURVIVAL. If you don’t survive, you will die (which is the case in 99.99% of games). Nothing bad yet.
Now you were granted couple extra spikes. You were given the power to implement these items to your creatures body, intelligently (sounds strongly about Creationism to me), not by randomly, what is exactly what evolution is about. How ever evolution doesn’t say anything about survival of those fatally construct weak organisms. Simple to say that they were ought to die, since if it doesn’t help you to survive better or shield yourself or catch food more efficiently, it’s a waste of space. And you will be eaten, being slow, unprotected mushroom-looking smug. Now that makes sense that they’d get eaten (to me at least, how could BEAST catch the fast and shielding organisms?) Now you took million years of randomly mutating organisms and only the most succeeding ones survive. And you’d propably agree that they had to be stronger, faster, better shielded or whatever may be the surviving aspect of time (cold resist through furs?).
I can only imagine, that teaching common sense doesn’t hurt. God may have been creating life through evolution after all. I mean why would he/she not to work with that way. I feel it unefficient way of working that you just POP OUT some man and there you have it. I find it way more understandable that our god did ‘trial and error’ till he saw it was good. Think about the number of stars and planets there is. Our god must have done millions of years of errors till he finally saw it was good and planted seed of life to our planet earth. He was always watching the progress of evolution and guiding through more intellect people that might look like him. Finally he created man. And gave us wisdom and knowledge of his existance. What is the meaning of life? To Evolve. To what? Closer to God. Being more closer to his look-alike, wisdom, strength.
I find your belief close minded, if you may take that non-offensive way. Shoving your head in ground and not listening any facts proven by GOD and the way he created us. Trusting your life in book that has 2000 year old scientific world view. When we walk towards god day by day, we can become more knowing of his brilliant way of working. I trust the Bible as word of GOD, no doubt, but I don’t think it should be taken literally. Adam and Eve clearly could not have produced(AND FED) more than 4-8 kids (4 times increase in population every 15 years) every generation to this day to cause hmm lets see:
6000(Age of Earth)/15(Age of maturity) = 400 generations before your birth. (Not mentioning what happened 2304 BC (Big Flood))
400 Generations could not have produced 6 Billion people. Even they had enough food supply and were fucking like crazy. And to think there was world wide flood and every specie had only 2 survivals… Are just insane ways to think. Not to mention this Noah’s Ark had to be gigantic to get all those dinosaurs and elephants to fit. It would have 40,000 m³ at size(to feed every animal 150 days. You know food takes space) Being bigger that the most cities in the world. And to think it would manage to be build from wood? Do you know what happens when you build 40,000 m³ building from wood and bring twice as mass to it? It collapses. (Btw I’m really atheist but thought you’d not read this far it this were written by non-believer) And no sane person would think Noah’s Ark could have ever been really done by 1 man. It would have required to an empire to build it.
Ever thinking there might come NEW NEW Testament to bible. Where they’d implement creation through evolution. God as clumsy, often mistaking, more humane. Jesus as just man who walked the earth and came to belief of God’s existance. Was just ordinary moral teacher. God as all loving being. No hell. No Satan. Etc.
I strongly believe that Bible WILL BE REWRITTEN someday, and future generations will just continue their generation of bible, just like we do, thought not literally but morally.

I’m in the middle between evolution and creationism, but I do know for a fact that evolution does have more going for it than Religion. Plus, a game where you play as adam and eve would be boring. Wow… Look I don’t mean to bring down your religion. But you seem to bring down atheism. Lots of religions so far have failed and turned into myths, Christianity may be another (see the word “may”). I have no problem with people and there religions and I leave them alone but when they attack other peoples… that’s a bit hippocritical. I mean this is based on Science. What is the Bible based on… nothing, really (apart from a few unverifiable sources {to me that’s how it looks}). Look if god did smite someone I k
